Where do I start?
Sometimes the question of where to start can be an intimidating one. So many churches over the years have added regulations and completely unnecessary hoops to jump through. But when it comes down to it, there’s only one thing that really matters, that you know Jesus, the Hope for Heaven. This is why Hope exists, to introduce you to and help you in your walk with Him. So where do you start? Well…
In the beginning God created everything, including the earth we live on. God made us as His own unique creation, in His own image, but we fell short and missed the mark. We often want to play God instead of honor Him. Instead of trusting in Him, we trust in ourselves. We have all sinned and fallen short of God’s holy standards.
Our sin cut right to God’s heart. His Son, Jesus, willingly came to our world to fulfill God’s requirements. He lived the perfect, innocent life that we could not, but was then sacrificed on a cross. It was the only way to break down the wall between God and us.
By His innocent death, Jesus conquered death. Shortly after the cross, He physically rose to life.
Through faith alone in what Jesus has done we can live in a relationship with God again — forever.
So where do you start? Start with Jesus. He is your God and your Savior, trust in Him.
